Secretary-General Cai Jun said in his speech that my country's green tea production accounts for about 85% of global green tea production, and exports account for about 75% of global green tea trade. In 2018, my country exported 365,000 tons of tea, of which 303,000 tons were green tea, accounting for about 83%. Green tea exports are dominated by bulk tea, prices are generally low, corporate profits are meager, competition pressure in traditional markets is increasing, new market development is difficult to achieve breakthroughs in the short term, and it is imperative to hold an international green tea conference. By organizing and convening an international green tea conference to promote and reach consensus on the global green tea industry of the producing and marketing countries, it will further establish my country's image as a tea power. The landing of the first international green tea conference in Shengzhou will expand Shengzhou's green tea's international influence, further promote China's high-end green tea's entry into the international market, especially to further play Zhejiang's leading advantage in tea exports and promote China's tea export transformation and upgrading goals Completed as soon as possible, ushering in a new high in the volume and price of China's tea exports and playing a helping role, adding new elements to shaping the international image of Chinese green tea.
Deputy Mayor Ding Gui pointed out that the holding of this international (Shengzhou) Green Tea Conference is based on the actual development of Shengzhou's tea industry, focusing on creating Shengzhou as a "world famous tea country", displaying Shengzhou's urban image, and promoting high-quality development and high-level "three" A strategic decision made during the construction of "Shengzhou".
