On the afternoon of June 9th, sponsored by the provincial government, the "Silk Road Whistle"-China-Europe Express Co-organized by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, Jinhua Municipal People’s Government, Yiwu Municipal People’s Government, and Zhejiang Seaport Group The Quality Development Forum was held in Ningbo. As one of the highlights of this CEEC, the forum aims to discuss the development of new situations, new paths and new cooperation, promote the synergy and interconnection of international and regional trains, and jointly promote the high-quality development of China-Europe trains.
Xu Wenguang, Deputy Governor of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, Agneska Witkovska, Customs Counselor of the Polish Embassy in China, Zhao Lijian, Deputy General Manager of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. attended the event and delivered speeches. Deputy Secretary-General Chen Guangsheng of the Provincial Government, Shen Min, Vice Mayor of Ningbo City, attended the meeting. Sheng Qiuping, Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, delivered a keynote speech. Chief Economist Zhu Jun presided over the meeting. In his speech at the forum, Xu Wenguang emphasized that the China-Europe Express is a strategic hub that connects Zhejiang with land and sea, runs through the east and west, and radiates the surrounding areas. It is also one of the ten landmark projects that Zhejiang participates in the "Belt and Road" initiative. Since its opening in 2014, the China-Europe Express has withstood the severe test of the complex and volatile international situation and the impact of the epidemic, providing strong support for stabilizing the international industrial supply chain and serving the new development pattern of dual cycles. President Xi has praised the China-Europe Railway Express on important international occasions six times. The China-Europe Railway Express has become one of the most prestigious "head camels" in the "Steel Camel Team", and is one of Zhejiang's "Gold business card".
During the forum, two special trains of "Budapest-Jinhua" and "Chunli Shengzhou Tea" were released for the first time. This move means that export goods from domestic coastal cities, especially the Yangtze River Delta Economic Circle, will be more efficient and faster. The service characteristics and industry driving effect of the train will be more significant.
