According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, China’s tea exports in May 2020 were 35,670 tons, down 14.4% year-on-year, and the export value was US$199.38 million, down 9% year-on-year. China’s tea exports in June 2020 were 31,711 tons. A year-on-year increase of 18.9%, the export value was 212.18 million US dollars, an increase of 22.8% year-on-year, China's tea export volume will decline slightly before June 2020.

As the hometown of tea, China has grown tea for more than 2,000 years. At the same time, as a symbol of Chinese civilization, tea is also one of the earliest products to go global. Today, more than 150 countries around the world have the habit of drinking tea.
