Many people have the habit of drinking tea. I am also a tea lover. I often buy a lot of tea. Sometimes I can't finish drinking these teas, so I will put them in the refrigerator.
Should tea be put in the refrigerator, refrigerated or frozen? Which tea can be put in the refrigerator and which can't?
First of all, we have to say that storing tea in the refrigerator is indeed a good idea to retain the aroma and taste of tea.
The low temperature environment of the refrigerator can effectively slow down the oxidation rate of tea and keep the freshness of tea.

So should tea be put in the refrigerator, refrigerated or frozen?
This question also needs to be decided according to the time we drink tea.
1. Choose refrigeration for tea to be drunk in a short period of time
If the tea you buy can be drunk in a short period of time, such as within a week or a month, then you can choose to refrigerate it.
The temperature of refrigeration is usually between 0℃ and 5℃, which is very suitable for the preservation of tea.
At this temperature, the aroma and taste of tea can be well preserved.
In terms of specific operations, we can seal the tea leaves in a bag, put it in an iron can, and put it in the refrigerator;
It is best to use a combination of aluminum foil bag + plastic bag + iron can or composite kraft paper bag, so that it can really be sealed, which can prevent the tea from tainting and isolate water vapor.
After sealing, put it in the refrigerator's cold storage room. Because the refrigerator environment is complex, if you are not careful, it will cause the tea to deteriorate, so it is a little more troublesome than storing tea at room temperature.

2. Choose to freeze tea leaves that you don't plan to drink for a long time
If you buy a lot of tea leaves, or don't plan to drink it in the short term, and want to temporarily put it for more than two months, then you can consider putting it in the freezer of the refrigerator.
The temperature of the freezer is usually below zero, which can almost stop the oxidation rate of the tea leaves and achieve the purpose of long-term preservation.
Similarly, freezing also requires good sealing.
However, it should be noted that no matter whether it is frozen or refrigerated, it must be sealed.
If you want to take it out and drink it sometimes, it is best to leave it at room temperature for dozens of minutes, and then open the bag and use it after the temperature of the tea leaves gradually rises.
This can prevent moisture from condensing into the tea leaves due to large temperature differences.
