According to the comprehensive research and judgment of the provincial, municipal, district tea and meteorological expert team, this year's West Lake Longjing tea Longjing 43 varieties will officially enter the picking on March 12, and the group species will be picked in late March. At present, the various tasks of spring tea picking and processing are ready.
Purify and rejuvenate the base germplasm resources, restore the original species in history, and preserve the quantity and quality of germplasm resources to the greatest extent. Implement unified prevention and control of diseases and insect pests and green prevention and control, promote the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to spray 16,000 mu of biological pesticides; apply rapeseed cake fertilizer to all tea gardens to continuously improve the quality of tea fields. Organized training and evaluation of vocational skills such as West Lake Longjing tea manual frying and tea evaluation, and established 25 West Lake Longjing tea manual frying centers, and trained 1,105 evaluation technicians.
Generally speaking, the main factors that determine the natural quality of West Lake Longjing tea are ecological environment and climatic conditions, tea tree varieties, tea garden management level, processing skills and other factors.
1. The natural environment is suitable. Hangzhou has a good ecological environment, dense vegetation, good soil aeration, water retention, and fertility retention. Moreover, most of the West Lake Longjing tea gardens are on the southeast slope, which are suitable for the growth of tea trees. In terms of meteorological conditions, the temperature conditions of last winter are conducive to the safe overwintering of tea trees. It often rains before the Spring Festival, the root system of the tea plant is active, the nutrient absorption is sufficient, and the tea is full. Two low temperatures at the end of the year at the end of the year will not only reduce pests and diseases, but also benefit the quality of tea. The best climatic conditions for green tea are rainy and rainy, cool temperature, misty rain and fog, which are conducive to the accumulation of flavor substances, and the bitter and astringent taste of tea polyphenols will decrease.
2. Good varieties of tea plants. West Lake Longjing mainly has group species, Longjing 43 and other varieties, which are characterized by high amino acid content and moderate amount of tea polyphenols. Therefore, West Lake Longjing tastes sweeter and lighter in bitterness and astringency. If the group species is hand-crafted, it still has a floral fragrance.
3. High management level. The management level of the tea garden is very high. A large amount of rapeseed cake fertilizer is used in winter, and the tea garden is well pruned. Only one season of spring tea is picked, and summer and autumn tea are basically not picked, so the buds are full.

The weather conditions are of great concern to tea picking production and sales managers. This year there are several characteristics, two favorable and two warm reminders.
The first one is favorable: this year's climate resources are relatively superior, and the quality of tea is high-quality, which is a notable feature. This year, the spring in Hangzhou was significantly earlier, 18 days earlier than normal, and 14 days earlier than last year. From today until the 22nd, the temperature continued to rise, the highest temperature can reach 25 degrees, the temperature conditions promote the growth of tea. In the precipitation configuration, sunny and rainy phases are conducive to the growth of tea. At the same time, the sunshine conditions are suitable. Therefore, the three conditions of light, temperature and water are very suitable for the growth and quality of tea.
The second advantage: By the 27th, the weather in Hangzhou will be sunny and rainy. There are more sunny days than rainy days. The amount of rainfall is not large, mainly small showers. There is no continuous rain, which is good for picking.
